We are a group that gathers as a community of ordinary people who have experienced the transforming reality of God's love, the renewing presence of the Holy Spirit and the risen power of Jesus Christ.
Part of our calling as West Point Grey Baptist is to Welcome (scholars, students and residents in a city many call home for short amounts of time); to Bless (Strengthen through community, teaching and opportunities to serve) and to Send (often back to the homes that they had left as better equipped and encouraged witnesses for Jesus). We have alumni of Point Grey Church in dozens of countries around the world and we look forward to welcoming YOU as you move to Vancouver to study, work and live.
Time: 10:30am | Location: 4509 W 11th Ave Vancouver, BC
We are located near UBC in the West Point Grey neighborhood of Vancouver. If you're a student, just hop on the 99, and get off at Sasamat.
There is free street parking along Sasamat and 11 Avenue, a fenced parking lot on the West side of the building near a kids playground, and parking along the laneway just north of the church building.

What To Expect on Sunday Morning
What should I wear?
God is far more interested in our hearts than our appearance. So come as you are. For some that's a coat and tie; for others it's blue jeans and everything in between.
What happens when I arrive?
The welcome desk is in the lobby where there are people who can help answer any questions you may have or help you find your way around. When you go into the sanctuary, you'll receive a worship bulletin that will guide you through the service, and we will provide simple instructions along the way to help you know when to do things like stand or sit.
What about my kids?
Nursery Care is provided for children ages 0-2 years old. The Nursery is located on the main floor just off of the sanctuary/lobby. Parents can drop off their children anytime before or during the service. You are also welcome to bring your child into the service with you. We celebrate kids and their families and welcome them as part of our church family.
Children ages 3 through grade 5: Please sign your child in at the Welcome Centre prior to the service. Part way through the service the kids are invited to worship downstairs in what we call J.A.M. (Jesus and Me). Your child will learn about God and His Word in a nurturing and engaging environment designed just for them! We celebrate intergenerational worship, so often have the kids involved in the services throughout the church year. Please watch the bulletin and website for details.
What is a Baptist?
We call ourselves a "Baptist Church" even though many of us come from a variety of Christian traditions. In practice, being "Baptist" means that we decide things by gathering together the community and discerning God's leading. We also follow the practice of baptising those who, in a committed way, confess their faith in Jesus. We are also associated with a group of Baptist Churches who call themselves "Canadian Baptists of Western Canada". For more info check out www.cbwc.ca
